Thanks to the support of our loyal customers and dedicated team members, Oil Change for the Better 2022 was our biggest success yet, raising $16,000 for Hand-N-Hand of Northeastern Wisconsin.
Our technicians certainly had their hands full this year, as we extended the fundraiser to two weeks for the first time. We completed a staggering 1,000 total oil changes across all six Matthews Tire locations from Aug. 1-5 and 8-12. With $15 raised from each oil change, as well as an additional $1,000 contribution from Matthews Tire, we presented Hand-N-Hand President Jenny Geiken with a check for $16,000.
Jenny couldn’t have been more thankful when accepting the check on behalf of Hand-N-Hand. “Thank you for supporting our educational programs,” she beamed at the check presentation. “This donation not only supports our playgroups and classes, but it also spreads the awareness and knowledge needed to provide these unique services to many families in Northeast Wisconsin. It means so much!”

Based out of Green Bay, Hand-N-Hand is the only non-profit organization of its kind in the area, providing education and support for deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families through educational programs, community outreach, playgroups and other integral resources.

Oil Change for the Better was founded in 2012 here at Matthews Tire to give back to the local community that has given so much to us over the years. During this fundraising event, we donate proceeds from each oil change to a different local nonprofit organization that could benefit from more awareness, funds and support.
Since 2012, our customers have helped us raise over $89,000 for nonprofits throughout Northeast Wisconsin, including the Fox Valley Humane Association, Make a Wish Wisconsin, The Salvation Army, Big Brothers Big Sisters and many more.
